A Vision for Ease into Peace

Ruth Heal

My vision for Ease into Peace is creating a space, in our area, where we come together to experience community, and support each other as we journey toward living our fullest life. I want it to be a place that encourages us to take risks by trying something new in a supportive atmosphere, and through that to find out we are more and stronger than we thought we were. It is a place we still come during the challenges of our lives, when we need the support of our community and the classes and workshops that are offered at the studio. Over the years others in my life have provided me with these opportunities and they have been real game changers for me. They provided me with tools to get through the tough times in my life, like divorce and brain surgery. Now it is my turn to offer some of them to you myself, and also bring in others to share their knowledge with you. I look forward to exploring with you going forward. There are exciting offerings for you in June and July. Firstly the weekly Outdoor Class in La Veta Town Park will begin on Friday 3rd June at 10am and continue over the summer. If the weather is not suitable class will move into the Studio. I love practicing outdoors, even a standing practice on a winter hike makes me feel good. I feel connected to, and nourished by nature. In July on the morning of 9th there is a guided "Forest Bathing"experience for you to enjoy. I will be co-leading this with Bob Kennemer, local plant expert, and nature lover. June starts with "The Post-Covid Reset" on June 4th, followed by "Art Journaling" on June 18th. The Mindfulness Group continues to meet twice a month rather than weekly. It meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday from 10-11.30am. Please come along and learn more about the practice of mindfulness. June 16th sees the start of a new offering - a "Mindful Crafting Circle". Bring along any craft project (no wet media please) and sit with the group sometimes in mindful silence and sometimes engaging in conversation. It will meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 1.00-3.00pm. You can still get to the Farmer's Market right after. For more details of all these events see below. I would like you all to join me in wishing Debra, who has been teaching the Wednesday class, our very best wishes as she will be having shoulder replacement surgery on June 1st. May the surgery go exactly as planned, and her recovery be smooth and uneventful, with the best possible outcome. While she is recovering I will be covering her classes. The aim of everything that is offered at the Studio is "moving you toward peace, love & joy". May it be so! Ruth
